Frequently Asked Questions
I offer telehealth (virtual) meetings through a HIPAA compliant platform.
I do not directly accept insurance for my health coaching services. However, I recommend checking with your insurance provider to determine if health coaching is covered under your plan, although it’s often not covered.
A major benefit of not working within the constraints of insurance is that it allows me to provide flexible, personalized services that are tailored to your unique needs and goals. This flexibility enables us to focus on what truly matters to you and design a coaching program that aligns perfectly with your wellness journey.
Every HSA/FSA is different. You will need to contact your provider directly to find out. If you need an invoice to submit, please contact me so we can discuss this.
There are key differences between a health coach and a nutritionist/dietician. A nutritionist assesses a person’s nutritional needs and develops personalized meal plans. As your health coach, I can guide you through dietary changes and implementing food plans and/or support you in making foundational, healthier dietary choices.
While there is some overlap in both health coaching and therapeutic services, both aimed at enhancing your overall well-being, it’s important to understand the key differences:
In therapy, professionals typically develop a treatment plan based on a diagnostic assessment, which includes clinical diagnosis and tailored treatment interventions to address specific mental health concerns
However, in my role as your health coach, I won’t be diagnosing or developing treatment plans. Instead, I bring my clinical expertise as a bonus to our work together. As your coach, I focus on providing guidance, support, and actionable strategies to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
Think of it as having the advantage of clinical insight within the framework of a coaching relationship. If, during our work together, it becomes evident that therapeutic services could benefit you, we can certainly discuss a referral to a qualified therapist or counselor who can provide specialized clinical care tailored to your specific needs
Absolutely, I can partner with you and your healthcare provider, if needed, to assist in the implementation of their recommendations. Think of your doctor as the “what” – they provide the diagnosis and treatment plan. I come in as the “how to” – I can help you translate their plan into practical steps, provide support, and help you make those recommendations a part of your daily life. Together, we can work towards your health and wellness goals.
No worries at all! It’s common for people to have questions about the specific services provided. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for in the FAQ section, I’d be happy to discuss it in more detail during a free consultation call. This way, we can explore your needs and goals and determine how I can best support you on your wellness journey. Feel free to reach out to schedule a convenient time for us to chat.
I understand that a good connection is essential for a successful coaching journey. You can receive a refund for the entire program if you decide it’s not the right fit, excluding the initial fee for the 90-minute assessment and document review (value of $297). It’s important to note that the pricing is based on the entire program rather than individual sessions, so after that point, no cancellations are available. My aim is for you to have a positive and fulfilling coaching experience as we work together toward your wellness goals.
While I can provide guidance, support, and strategies to help you work toward your health and wellness goals, the outcomes depend on various factors, including your individual efforts and circumstances. My role is to empower and assist you in making positive changes, but the responsibility for achieving results ultimately lies with you. Success in health and wellness coaching is a collaborative effort. I welcome feedback throughout our work together to ensure that we are on the right track and making necessary adjustments to best support your journey
